You Can’t Have A Picnic Without …

While you start brainstorming about what item you want to write about, we thought we’d give you a couple tips and ideas to use the next time you take your family and friends out for picnic.
Whether you’re packing for two people or a family of six, it’s important to try and use foods that can be kept cold, that don’t require a lot of clean up and that are fun and easy to eat!

Personal Wedding Story Winners Announced!

Congratulations to our Personal Wedding Story Contest winners!
We want to thank all of the participants who shared their heartfelt stories about how PersonalizationMall.com has played an important role in their engagement, weddings, anniversary and other romantic milestones. Everyone on the PersonalizationMall.com team knows that each gift we create is a thoughtful and lasting keepsake that is going to put a smile on its recipient’s face but we are always so excited to hear actual stories from gift givers and gift recipients.
We were overwhelmed by the positive response to this contest and choosing just three winners from all the entries was truly difficult. After careful consideration, we are happy to present the winning submissions:
Drum roll please …
Our first place winner of a $200 prize is Taylor from Harleysville, PA!
Taylor shared the story of how her husband proposed to her in her favorite spot in the world with two PersonalizationMall.com champagne flutes, like our Mr. and Mrs. Collection© Personalized Flute Set, that he had engraved to say “Our Engagement July 3, 2009″ (How brave to have them engraved before she said yes!).
Taylor and her husband also used our Bride & Groom Crystallized™ Swarovski Flute Set (pictured)on their special day, along with their own personalized Wedding Party Characters© Personalized Platter which they received as a bridal shower gift and still display in their home today.

In second place was Shelly from Antioch, TN who won $100 for her touching story!
Shelly and her husband had just started dating when she was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer and he was about to be deployed to Afghanistan.
Before he left Shelly knew he was “the one” and custom made a PersonalizationMall.com Our Special Moments© Personalized Photo Box (pictured) to say “Have I told you lately that I love you” so he could think of her while he was away.
She continued to send him pictures of herself so he could see how her hair was growing back and he was thrilled that he could still be apart of her healing process even though he was so far away.
He returned from Afghanistan in December and they were married in June!
And last but certainly not least, our third place prize of $50 went to Beatriz from Bel Air, MD!
Beatriz was about to celebrate her 37th wedding anniversary with her husband John and was looking for the perfect gift.
Her husband would always say “please don’t buy me anything because I have you as my wife and that is all I’ll ever need.” Beatriz was touched by his kind words but still wanted a gift for her husband so when the pocket watch she had previously given him broke and they couldn’t find anyone to repair it she came to PersonalizationMall.com for help.
She found the Herrington© Engraved Silver Pocket Watch and was happy to see that she could make the gift special by having it engraved.
She personalized it with lyrics from “their song” and when she gave it to him on their anniversary, he was so overjoyed with it and the personalized engraving that she thought she saw a tear come to his eye!

What Makes Your Grandparent So Grand?

Grandparents really do have a special love that sets them apart from anyone else. They are always there to love you unconditionally, to listen when you feel like you’re not being heard, and to give advice that is always wise and pure of heart. These are just a few of the many reasons why they deserve their very own holiday, which is coming up on September 11th.
Grandparents Day is a time for us to stop and reflect on everything our grandparents have done for us, what we love most about them and to celebrate and thank them for it.
So for our Grandparents Day contest, we’re asking you … “What Makes Your Grandparent So Grand?” We want you to tell us why your grandparent is special to you in 60 words or less.
