Christmas morning is one of the most magical days of the year and we want to help you enjoy all of the excitement and joy that Christmas morning brings, that’s why we’ve put together some great tips that will help add a little extra magic to your Christmas morning for both you and the kids!
Christmas morning comes pretty early for parents who have been up all night wrapping “Santa” presents, especially because the kids usually wake up earlier due to excitement.
This year, buy yourself a little extra time to sleep in the morning and surprise your little ones by placing a special activity gift outside their bedroom doors, such as the Merry Christmas Personalized Coloring Book & Crayon Set.
This unique coloring book can be customized with your child’s name on the front cover and inside pages and you get to choose from 1 of our 4 cartoon characters that you want to be featured throughout the book. The book is full of holiday pictures to color, as well as Christmas-themed games, mazes and puzzles.
Speaking of puzzles, we have a wide selection of Personalized Christmas Puzzles (including photo puzzles!), that also make great outside-their-door gifts! When they wake up, instead of running straight to your bedroom to pounce on you, they’ll be able to spend some quiet time coloring in their new activity book or putting together their new Christmas puzzle!
The door gifts won’t be able to hold them off forever so once everyone is awake, make sure to have your camera ready and head over to the Christmas tree.
Surprise them by leaving magical Santa footprints near the cookies and milk they set out the night before (as you can see in the image at top left). To create Santa footprints, put a pair of boots down on the ground and sprinkle flour around them so that when you remove them, all that’s left in their place is a snow-like outline of a boot. Sure you’ll have to clean up a little mess later on but it will be totally worth it after you see the look of wonder on your children’s faces!
Thanks to Pinterest, we found a great tip for parents to use when the wrapping paper starts to go flying.
Take a large cardboard box and wrap it in Christmas wrapping paper, making sure to leave the top part of the box open.
Place it near the tree and as the kids start unwrapping their gifts, have them throw the paper away in the box. The pretty box (see example photo at right) will function as a trash can but will be disguised like a present so it will still look nice in all of your Christmas morning photos!
As you can see from the photo at left, you can use whip cream and blueberries for the eyes, a strawberry for the nose and strips of bacon for the antlers and they won’t believe it when they look down and see Rudolph on their plates!
It’s the little details that matter and with this easy tips, your Christmas morning is sure to be one you’ll treasure for years to come!

Christmas Eve is one of the most special days of the year and with it comes an abundance of excitement and anticipation, so much so that the evening seems to fly by and come to an end before you have a chance to revel in the magic.
Well, we’ve come up with some great ideas and new traditions that will not only help make your Christmas Eve more memorable, it will also give you and your family the chance to really “be in the moment” and savor every minute of this special night.
For starters, kick off the night with a new tradition by letting the kids open one present on Christmas Eve – new personalized pajamas! Our Holiday Cheer Embroidered Pajama Sets are the perfect PJs because they can be embroidered with any name in both adult and youth sizes so the entire family can match! The kids will love getting a chance to open a gift early and Mom will be happy because it ensures that the kids will be dressed in cute PJs for Christmas Morning pictures!
Once everyone is nice and cozy in their new personalized PJs, sit down as a family and read the popular Christmas book The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg to get everyone in the mood for the adventure you’re about to surprise them with! When you’ve finished the book, announce that it’s time for bed and escort the kids to their rooms.
On each of their beds, hide an Embroidered Snowman Mini Treat Bag under the covers. Choose a boy or girl treat bag design for each of your little ones and have it embroidered with their name.
Have a camera ready because you’ll want to capture all of their giggles and screams as they discover their Christmas Eve surprises!
Inside each of the treat bags, include their favorite candy or snacks and most importantly – their special ticket for the “(Your Name Here) Express” (Click HERE for a free printable of our exclusive Express tickets (at left) that you can personalize with your own family name)!
Explain that they’ve just received a special ticket to go on a magical adventure and have them put on their coats and slippers and head the family car or van with their new treat bag and ticket.
When everyone is lined up, act as Conductor and punch a hole in each of their tickets before they climb into their seats.
Once everyone is buckled in, hand them their Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt List (Click HERE for a free printable of our exclusive Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt List) and a crayon and set out on your Christmas Eve adventure!
Take them on a car ride past all of the best decorated houses in your area so they can find items from their scavenger hunt list.
They can snack on the goodies in their treat bags as they stare out the window in wonder of all the beautiful twinkling lights of the neighborhood.
You can all work together as a family to find everything on the list or make it a friendly competition and suggest that whoever finds all of the items first wins a prize or gets to open the first present on Christmas morning.
Once you’ve finished your magical adventure on the Family Express, it’s time to make your way home. Before sending the kids off to bed, remind them to set out the special Cookies & Milk for Santa Plate and Mug that you can have personalized with their first names or any 3-line message. They’ll love knowing that Santa knows exactly who the cookies are from and they’ll head off to bed excited to wake up and see how many he ate!
Last year we shared some Cute & Clever Christmas Card Photos with you in a blog post to help inspire your family’s Christmas card photo.
Since PMall.com’s Personalized Christmas Card Sale is going on now and because we received such a great, positive response from our readers after last year’s post, we thought this would be a great time to share some more Christmas card photo inspiration with all our fans!
Some of our favorite photo ideas have a funny theme behind them, such as this cute photo of the kids goofing around (photo at left).
We love the idea of playing up the fact that the holiday season can turn into a crazy and busy time for everyone.
Your family and friends will be able to relate and will love your sense of humor.
Your family’s Christmas cards will be sure to get a smile and/or a laugh out of everyone!
It’s the fun photos like the kids with duct tape above and the photo of the acrobatic family at right (all of which we found on Pinterest), that really help to spread Christmas cheer.
They’re eye-catching and are sure to stand out from the dozens of stock holiday cards that your family and friends will be receiving from other people this year.
Have fun and get creative with photos – and don’t be afraid to include the whole family – it doesn’t have to just be the kids!
If you’d rather go for a cute Christmas photo instead of a funny one, don’t worry – we have some ideas for you, too!
The photo (below at left) of the siblings blowing snow together is adorable and makes a beautiful Christmas card photo!
It’s a cute, cheap and easy photo to coordinate and execute and the kids will have fun taking the photos, as well. You could try using real snow once it arrives, but we have a feeling that the photo would turn out much better if you use a fake, glittery snow substitute that you could find at any store that sells Christmas decorations. It may require a little clean up afterward but it will totally be worth it!
Once you’ve taken the photos and picked out your favorites, head over to PMall.com’s Personalized Christmas Card Store and check out all the great designs available in our Photo Cards and/or Photo Postcard Departments. With our wide selection of design themes you’ll be able to find the perfect card design to match your family photo. You’ll be able to upload your photo(s) and customize your card to your liking in just a few quick and easy steps.
Once you think you’ve finished your family’s Christmas card you can actually preview it before you purchase! That’s right, you’ll actually get to see how it will look before you order it so you can still go back and make any changes you’d like before placing the order!
Once you’ve finished personalizing your Christmas Cards, personalize a set of Personalized Return Address Labels that match your card design or check out our Personalized Self-Inking Return Address Stampers. They’ll save you plenty of time and money when you’re addressing your cards!

Recently one of PMall.com’s fans shared a story on our Facebook Fan Page. Her name is Aprille and her story was so touching we knew that we had to share it will all of the rest of our fans (please continue reading for the link to Aprille’s full blog post below).
Aprille, who is a Military Wife and Mother, has started her own family tradition by creating at least one new PMall.com Personalized Photo Ornament each Christmas.
She remembers her first ornament fondly as it was the first Christmas she spent with her husband.
Then there are the ornaments she personalized with the words “Almost Together” to capture the heartbreaking Christmas that she and her son had to celebrate without their husband and father because he was deployed.
Last year she decided that her “Almost Together” ornament needed a sequel so she personalized a new ornament that featured a beautiful family photo and the words, “Together Forever” to celebrate the Christmas they shared as a family.
She was thrilled to be able to serendipitously capture that moment and turn that into another ornament that she will always treasure.
We are so thankful to Aprille for sharing her story and the photos of all her ornaments and we are honored that we are able to play a small role in her beautiful new Christmas tradition!
Check out Aprille’s full story, ”Our Christmas Ornament Tradition” from her Beautiful In His Time Blog, by clicking the previous link. When you get to her blog you’ll be able to see photos of all the ornaments she has personalized and you’ll be able to hear the touching story straight from her!
We’d like to say Thank You again to Aprille for sharing her story and if any other PMall fans out there have stories about any of the gifts they’ve personalized from PMall.com we’d love to hear them! Email your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Unless you’re a college student, that is. While most of us are already feeling the Christmas spirit and have started our shopping, decorated our Christmas trees, or began baking Christmas cookies, etc., there are a bunch of college students out there who are so wrapped up in studying for finals and completing semester projects that they’re missing out on all the fun. That’s why we wanted to offer some great gift suggestions for parents of college students who would like to bring Christmas to the college dorms! There’s nothing better than receiving a package when you’re away at school and we have just the things to help bring a smile to your student’s face during this stressful time.
PMall.com’s Personalized Christmas Gifts Store has all sorts of great home decor that would look great in the dorms!
Personalized door banners like the Christmas Nice List (far left) and the Merry Christmas designs (left) are the perfect decorations for the dorm because they can be hung on the door and won’t take up any space in their already-cramped living quarters.
You can personalize the Nice List design with all the names of his or her friends who live on the floor and your student can hang a marker so their friends can write and leave messages that they’ll treasure year after year. The Merry Christmas design, which features an adorable snowman, can be personalized with your student and their roommate’s names or personalize it with the new club, fraternity or sorority they recently joined!
Help make your student’s all-nighter tolerable by including one of our Personalized Coffee Mugs in your Christmas care package. We have several designs to fit everyone’s taste but we recommend sticking with the Christmas theme and personalizing the Ghiradelli® Hot Cocoa Personalized Bistro Mug because not only will they receive a merry and bright new mug, they’ll love getting their own packet of double chocolate gourmet hot cocoa to warm their heart and their senses! If they’re going to be up all night studying, they may as well be doing it while enjoying delicious hot cocoa that will help give them a welcome boost at all hours of the night!
While PMall.com’s Christmas Gifts Store is full of great gift ideas to send to your son or daughter in the dorms, we thought we’d leave you with a great gift idea that will help you save money, too!
PMall.com’s Personalized Doormats are always a favorite among our customers and our Personalized Christmas Doormats have some of the cutest designs out there! Our doormats, like the adorable Welcome To Our Workshop design which features little elf feet, not only spread the Christmas cheer, they can also help you save some money by giving your student and their friends a place to wipe their boots and hopefully helping you get back some of your security deposit at the end of the school year! After all, taking all those trips to their classes, the library and the cafeteria can get boots pretty muddy. With a cute personalize doormat, you can prevent them from tracking all of that winter slush into their dorm room and ruining the carpet.
It’s time to start putting together a care package for your son or daughter in the dorms! Head over to our Personalized Christmas Gifts Store and have fun picking out what’s best for your student. Think of how nice it will be for them to take a break from studying and get a little taste of home this holiday season … you’ll be a hero!
